Interstate 15 used to dead end in the San Diego City Heights neighborhood.  Nine blocks of houses and business had to be acquired by CALTRANS to connect the freeway.  What an eminent domain disaster?  But I am glad they got it done.  Check out the before and afters and listen to the podcast for some interesting information on freeway's in San Diego.

Being situated downtown the San Diego International Airport has always been easy to get ... by car.  But there may soon be another option if the US Navy, the Port Authority and the City of San Diego can come to an agreement ...

Seaport Village has always been and iconic destination in San Diego ... but it certainly doesn't have the draw today as it did it the past.  Old and underutilized the area seems like a prime candidate for redevelopment.  And I'm glad some people are thinking about it in broader terms than just putting another hotel on the site ... What do you think?

I remember seeing Joe Satriani at the California theater way back in 1990!  It is a shame it has fallen into such disrepair ... but glad to hear it will be given new life!
